Developing my T-Rex

I decided I would give my T-rex a name for more personalization. I called him Trevor. I experimented with gradients and textures before settling on my final style. I knew I wanted to have a green t-rex, so I primarily stayed within green shades. I also wanted to incorporate an element of the dinosaur melting to go with the global climate change theme.

To show that the dinosaur was melting I went for a white tint on the lower extremities of the body. This gave him a fade out effect.
After this I added personality to the character to try to make him more appealing to children and more playful. Despite being a boy dinosaur I decided to give him a bow. The tongue made him look cheeky and will also be good for poking out in a panting manner during the game.
I looked at varying shades of green and the thickness of lines and the effects this can have on the dinosaur.
I decided to play with texture also, I was trying to get a scaly texture on trevor. I felt that the texture did not mesh well with the melting type stance.
